In the Career Services department at PCI, we have experienced Career
Advisors who will gladly assist you with your staffing needs. The Career
Advisors have access to important, detailed information regarding each
applicant. They have a large pool of extern and graduate applicants and
will match them to your specifications.
Have the opportunity to "try before
you buy" when you use our extern to hire program
Each month PCI sends a new group of students into the medical field who
are excited to obtain their “real world experience”. Each student is
interviewed by our staff and matched to a suitable extern site. If
accepted they will receive specialized training in the environment that
is as close to their request as possible. This ensures that the student
will not only be motivated to do their best job and learn as much as
they can but also you will get someone who is interested in your
practice and who you might like to hire. However, there is no obligation
on your part to hire the extern. We just ask that if they do a good job
for you that you provide a letter of recommendation and serve as a
reference for them. It is also helpful if you can tell your colleagues
in the field about what a great job the extern did for you so that they
can find permanent job placement.
